Rear Wiper Arm Attachment

Hi all,

I had an issue with my old Yaris (2001, 1299cc) a little while back and I haven't found a workaround yet. The rear wiper arm was loose and has come completely off (I have the arm), I haven't managed to work out how to fit it back on. I've bought a replacement arm which was marketed as fitting my model, but does not seem to fit.

I'm trying to work out how I can successful and cheaply (am a student..) reattach or replace it? I've looked at glues and epoxys (https://www.amazon.co.uk/d/Epoxies/Evo-Stik-320123-Hard-Fast-Metal-Putty/B00361819W, https://www.amazon.co.uk/Super-Glue-15212-Metal-Adhesive/dp/B000FW7VPA, https://www.amazon.co.uk/Gorilla-1044201-Glue-60ml/dp/B001W030CW/ref=pd_bxgy_263_img_2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=Z6XWC3W2Y74PP759R1MG) for getting it back on there. I know this could present problems down the line if I want to take it off, but given the age/condition of the car it probably won't last that long. I just need to get it back on and working for a couple of years.

Any advice would be much appreciated, photo attached of the stem (I've since sanded off the gunk, seems the last owner had the same issue and tried to glue it on).

Cheers!
