Hi guys 

I'm new to this got my 1st car two weeks ago a 2003 1.0 vvti I didn't know as u stop u need to put it into neural when in traffic I got that beeping noise which I later found out was the clutch over heating happened abwt 10 times because of me riding the accelater on hills in traffic rather than stoping and putting it in neutral the guy I bough the car had a new clutch put it recently so I'm wondering if I start driving it propaly will the clutch be okay ? Also some times when I put it in reverse neutral flashes few times then it goes into reverse also it makes a slight ticking noise on gear changes can someone please explain why these things are happening

It sounds a bit odd as it is now winter time (assuming that you are in the UK), I maybe wrong though. I think two weeks is not enough to wear out your clutch especially when it is still relative new? I do not think that you need to put the MMT into neutral every time you stop, let's say, 30sec, although 'riding the accelerator' on a steep hill is definitely a no. 

As for the MMT reverse gear, the flashing and delay that you see may be a safety feature to prevent you from engaging the reverse gear too soon while the car is still moving (forward). As I remember my MMT on the Aygo/107, the response time actually slows down a bit when the car gets old. If you are unsure of that, have a check at your dealer.
