Hello all,

I have a 2010 Auris 1'6 petrol valvematic  and want to change engine oil and filter. How do I reset the maintenance light after doing so. The oil spec is 5-30 semi synthetic any advice on on what manufacture's oil to use would be appreciated. Can't find a workshop manual anywhere.

Many thanks. morris116

As far as I'm aware, only diesels had oil maintenance lights. You won't find a workshop manual that is of a reasonable cost. Toyota's preferred oil is 0W-20. As regards service and repair information, one can register with and access www.toyota-tech.eu - note that some information is free to download, some chargeable.

As above, there shouldn't be a service light on these!

I actually use the second trip recorder as a makeshift service counter on mine. I just zero it immediately after an oil change and then check it periodically to see how close it's getting to 10000 miles.

Do you also need to change your profile to include the Auris?
