Hello, just wondering if anyone could help me with this. I've got a spare turbocharger VB14 17012-0R010 and thinking of fitting it to my 2.0 Avensis 2007 as the one in the car has started giving up. The part number on the plaque in the car states VB19 17012-0R040, would they be replaceable? I heard that both engine blocks are identical..what could possibly go wrong? Any suggestions would be most welcome.

I did a search of the part numbers. I had to correct it to 17201-0R040 and 17201-0R010, and reversed searched both on ToyoDIY. The answers were the same. Part numbers are known to change due to updates. Maybe somebody like Parts King may know.

All you can do is give it a try. It will only be your time, plus you can compared the two turbos side by side during the swap.
