Hi

I have recently bought my brilliant RAV4 XTR 2.0 petrol, 2010. Does anyone know when the timing belt should be changed. It has done 64000 miles. Cheers

No need to worry, it's chain driven cam, not cam belt.

Cheers. Does a chain ever need changing?

If the car has always had it's yearly or mileage based oil service, and the oil level has never been allowed to go below the minimum mark on the dipstick, then no.

Another advantage over a diesel Rav, petrol chain driven, diesel belt driven .

I've only ever gone for cam chain driven engines in the last 20 years or so. It's one less thing to worry about

Auxiliary belts should have been changed at 60,000 miles service.
