Toyota Avensis T25 1.8 Liftback lug nuts size

First post but have been browsing the forum the last 3 months since I purchased my 2006 Avensis.

Just bought a set of alloys for it and wondered if my lug nuts will fit or not.

I know I can undo one and then see what looks the same size on the auction site etc but wanted to see if someone knew and save me the trouble.

I bought alloys two days ago and they came today. How fast is that. Brand new. I have a grey Avensis and gone for gunmetal alloys.

I have a buckled wheel which I only found out about 2 days ago and rather than buy one used for £50 I have a brand new set for £180. Bargain!!

The other alloys are not terribly bad but its easier buying new that faff around with used (or so I thought)

Tried looking for gunmetal locking wheel nuts and nuts but cant seem to find them. So going to get black covers for the 4 holes and then black locking nut for the other. Not ideal but maybe the cheapest and easiest.

Any help or thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

without knowing what wheels you had & what you got we can't say.  Toyota oem alloys usually use nuts with a flat seat whereas 3rd party tend to use a conical seat, nuts for steel wheels used on an alloy can cause wear/damage over time.

i should have been more clearer sorry.

i have the standard alloys that are seen on a lot of avensis. they are the 5 spoke ones and have the toyota Badge in the middle.

i have bought aftermarket ones and the seller seems to think they will need the tapered lug nuts.

just wanted to see if he was right as dont want to get the wrong ones.

is that what you have or what you have bought?

if you look at your oem I think that they will be using a flat seat. From head on I can't tell if your new ones have a conical seat or not (but most 3rd party use a conical seat).

Remember to inform your insurer about the change in wheels.
