What happens if a Toyota with CVT runs out of fuel?

Just wondering...  I usally push my car 30-50 km after the calculated range has hit zero. But it got me thinking, since my car has a CVT gearbox, non-hybrid, what could happen? I fear that the gearbox would loose oil pressure, causing serious damage to the belt, as it starts to slip right away.

If I do 60 mph, and the engine dies, I does take a little while before the car is standing still. Strange that the owners manual does'nt mention situations like this.

It stops.

It will come to a stop exactly as it does when you take your foot off the accelerator. The engine will still turn due to momentum and so will the transmission. Just slip it into "N" from "D" anyway before the car rolls to a halt. That's what you would do with a manual transmission
