Hi everyone I've just completed a real world fuel economy test on my avensis 2 adult passengers two heavy suitcases filled up with Shell vpower . Trip was reading to Doncaster 70 % motorway 30% A roads total round trip 413 miles I have 3 fuel bars left it dropped to 3 bars at the 21 miles from home mark . I have taken photos from the dash when I pulled up for all to see I averaged 50-75 on the motorway due to road works and 0-50 on A roads lots of roundabout s I was driving at a calm pace as I wasn't in s rush and using cruise control in the road works.

it's doable on long motorway/dual carriageway trips - I've even once broken into the 70s!
