Hi, I've been advised by Toyota service to have my MMT "calibrated".  Is this something only they can do or would other garages been able to do it?  Toyota have quoted me £66 (inc. VAT).

Thank you.

You may find independents won't do it

I did wonder.  Does the price quoted seem reasonable?

Suppose it equates to something like an hours labour

In that case it would be about right then I suppose.  Thank you.

For £66, I would stick with Toyota. I think calibration means resetting the gearbox ECU and then setting the shift timing for each gear.

Yes, I think you're right - I might try to save a few £s and not get it done properly.
