London's Toxicity Charge (T-charge) announced

London's Toxicity Charge will begin on 23rd October 2017. Vehicles which do not meet the Euro IV emissions standards will incur an extra £10 charge for driving within the city centre in addition to the £11.50 congestion charge. 

It is thought the majority of vehicles over 10 years old, both petrol and diesel, will be affected.

Well, I guess my Corolla is too good to drive around London then.

Any word on whether the expansion of the zone is going ahead or not?
That's the bit I'm worried about   Really hoping it won't happen...

If they do I'll have to trade my faithful and beloved Yaris D4D for a worse car, probably one more polluting and less efficient to boot!

The 'toxin charge', as it is now called, comes into effect on 23rd October 2017.

Vehicles entering central London and which don't meet Euro4 emissions standards, will be subject to an additional £10 per day toxin charge

Does it apply all the time 7 days a week or just Mon to Fri like the con charge.
