Key number plate

Have just noticed my key number plate has come off my key ring is this a problem if at some stage I need a replacement key it's a smart entry key

The key number tag just makes it easier if one needs a replacement key. I always take the key number tag off the keyring and tape it inside the car folder, plus make a note of the number in the service & warranty book.

I would imagine the service record may have the key number recorded, but not absolutely sure ......

the mechanical key part. If you lose both the master key fobs themselves you are in a world of hurt & expense
