Hi everybody. Yesterday I became member of Toyota family with my new car - Levin BZ-G, and I want your help with the following: my car is equiped with A/T.

By the side of gear stick there are 2 buttons indicating a) manual ETC-s and B) Power. Both can be engaged electrically while driving. And there is a 3rd selection of transmission which I think is the standard A/T. What is the purpose of those buttons, what they can do, what is the best for economy driving? :help:

Thanks jimma.

I have noticed that with Power on the car is more sporty, changing gears upto 7k rpm. But what is the button for manual ECT-s?

If you have a 'MANU' or 'MANUAL' button it does exactly what it says on the tin, turns your car into a sequential, clutchless manual but you should only really use it for towing and going DOWN steep slopes etc. Your fuel economy is extremely compromised in manual and MY car Jerks quite bad when you change. I never use it. Always keep O/D on as well, unless you need a real push.

For speed - ECTS PWR on O/D off

For Normal economic driving ECTS PWR off O/D On.

Nice car by the way mate, I always think they look just like a littler version of my Curren, got any pics?

I don't have any photos yet as I bought the car just yesterday. It looks the same with Levin uphere, same colour - metalic black, the only difference are the alloy wheels.
