Verso giving problems ! Help

Hi 

having trouble with a 57 reg verso 

fault is difficult to start from cold. It can turn engine umpteen times before firing then. It's runs perfect and starts rest of the day ! 

Have replaced glow plugs and heater relay , fuel filter , done s c v valve and tried various fuel system cleaners. I also replaced lift pump with a second hand one 

 

should the lift pump always have pressure on the manual pump valve ?  

Appreciate any thoughts

Could also be the Battery or the starter motor?

Hi there

 

my old Verso 07 plate won't start during cold morning and I took it to the main dealer and they find out it's the starter motor. 

They want around £150 but I went to one of the local reliable garage and got it change for around £70 

Since then before I sold my old car it's start off perfectly every time .

Batter is showing  good volts and plenty kick in it

kitkat do you know if yours had pressure at the lift pump from a while sitting without starting ?

Hi.... 

i don't think so . mine just won't start while cold weather and took my car to the main dealer to check and find out is the starter motor.
