our 2013 auris with the touch head unit keeps losing the pairing for my partners phone

there are no problems re pairing the phone and touch system but then a few weeks later

it will happen again, its starting to become a pain. last year we had a new headuint fitted

under warranty so the software should be the most current version available

any ideas what we may need to do to fix this forever

Depends on the phone really. Android perhaps a data reset, iPhone no idea.

My Nexus 5 was always slightly flaky with the TnG2 but S7 has been perfect. Never unpaired though.

May not be fully compatible. bluetooth is meant to be agnostic but you do have compatability issues sometimes.

Does it work OK with other phones?

If so, you can do a data reset on the phone which may or may not help. Never know until you try it.

it didnt loose the pairing with the original headunit,

if it wasn't compatible surely it wouldn't work for a few weeks then loose its pairing suddenly

what would cause the headunit to loose its bluetooth settings ,we have had no 12v Battery issues either
