Hi,

one of my number plate light bulbs has gone. I had a quick look but could not see any screws to undo, so how do I get access to the bulb? Just off to work now, will check back later tonight.

                                                                                                     Thanks :)

Very easy. Open tailgate, remove interior trim panel cover with flat blade tool, twist and remove bayonet bulb holder, pull and replace 501 - 5w wedge bulb. Job should take a couple of minutes. Done it a couple of times.

You should get yourself a Haynes manual. Most jobs are covered, but still ask on the forum and check my posts, as I have done most things like routine oil changes, most bulbs and self diagnostics - early phase 1, pre- vvti cars did not support OBD2 standard. There are other things I have done, like replacing the crankshaft pulley, wheel bearings exhaust, oxygen sensor, starter, ignition switch, brakes, speaker upgrade, basic remote key issues, fusible link, radiator, ABS control unit (easy job), I could go on. The car had regular cambelt changes, water pump, gearbox rebuilt. The current owner is enjoying the car right now.
