Fuel Range Reading - T27

On my T27, I've got two 'blocks' of fuel left showing on the petrol that's reading. However, the fuel range says 6 miles remaining, which is patently incorrect.

 

Anyone else had this happen? I'd previously ran the tank down to the last 'blocks' and then stuck £5 worth of fuel in to get to two blocks. I'd have thought it would be clever enough to work out the range with what fuel was left.

the range doesn't count down to empty but to a "reserve". This used to be ~9l on T25s & earlier T27s but you will find at least 1 thread on here discussing that in later cars it may have increased up to possibly as much as 15l.

Hi I would recommend running the tank down until your fuel light comes on then refill your tank and reset the dash display trip meters to 0 and run the car down to two bars left and compare your miles left to reserve .
