MK2 Bluetooth computer

Hi, just bought a 2006 Yaris T3. It has a bluetooth integration for mobile phone. I've noticed that after a few days of not using the car, when I do start her up, the computer voice always goes into 'language menu'. 'press up to select a language' etc. It's as if it resets itself? Is it meant to do that? I wondered whether the car Battery is going - but the car never fails to start?! Whilst on the subject, The voice recognition control is laughable. Tried saving a contact but gave up after 15 attempts! I thought I was being filmed for some prank TV show 😉
