ABS operation on rear drum brakes

I noticed today I can lock the rear wheels with the handbrake while moving. Tried it at different speeds to make sure I was above the ABS threshold.

Does the ABS not work on Yaris with rear drums, does the footbrake need to be operated to activate the ABS,or do I have a problem?

The only advantage I can see is it will allow me to do handbrake turns!

Handbrake shouldn't be anything to do with ABS, it's a cable directly operating on the shoes.

Put it down to relaxing the brain on a Sunday!
