Had the check engine light pop up yesterday and thought £££ signs,however looked hopefully under the bonnet and noticed a male and female spade socket earth connector had overheated right on the front of the engine.Cut out the burnt bit and reconnected the two ends with a sturdy crimped one and this sorted that out
