Engine oil and DPF on my toyota

Hello,

I have a toyota corolla verso with the following characteristics:

12/2007 TOYOTA COROLLA VERSO (AUR10L-GRFDYW)
TERRA EUR LHD 2ADFTV DCR 6F 07S
GRADE: TERRA: TERRA TYPE
DESTINATION: EUR: EUROPE
DRIVER'S POSITION: LHD: LEFT-HAND DRIVE
ENGINE: 2ADFTV: 2200CC DIESEL TURBO
FUEL SYSTEM: DCR: DIESEL COMMON RAIL INJECTION SYSTEM
GEAR SHIFT TYPE: 6F: MTM, 6-SPEED FLOOR SHIFT

and I have 2 questions:

1. Does my car have a DPF filter because I heard different answers from different sides? Or is there any way I can check by myself if my car has such a filter?

2. I read a lot but (I am a beginner in these car related things) I am still confused what engine oil I should use. According to the service book the recommended oil is 5w30 c2 if my car has DPF. My questions is - can you recommend which brand and model of engine oil I should use? Because as far as I know it's better to use a full synthetic one but most of the oils I come across are HC-synthetic, 100% synthetic or something like that and I am not sure if these are fully synthetic.

Hi Dido & welcome to the forum 

In the UK a 2007 2AD-FTV would be highly unlikely to have a DPF but that may not be true throughout Europe as it  would depend upon the local market specification.

As to oil & brand it is hard to recommend one without knowing what is available to you locally (where are you, RoI?).

I live in Luxembourg but bought my car from Germany. It has Euro4 if it matters.

I hesitate between Motul X/Eco-clean 5w30 c2 100% synthetic and Castrol Magnetic 5w30 c2 hc-synthetic. Actually I am not sure if both engine oils are fully synthetic or it is just a marketing trick these "100% synthetic" and "hc-synthetic".
