2.2 T180 Avensis (2007) Whistling noise with cold and/or warmed up engine

Hi all,

I've seen a couple of posts regarding the same issue but haven't seen any final result so I'm trying to get some help/advice

EGR valve was recently changed and since then I can hear a really annoying whistling noise from the engine bay. I've never heard of this before only just started after the change of EGR

Took the car back to the garage and the guys have said its all ok nothing wrong with it but then why I never heard this before if it's all normal??

Could the noise be the turbo or something else?

It is whistling when engine is cold and also when its warm so it seems when the pressure is bigger. If the engine is warmed up then it won't whistle only when accelerating.

Any help is appreciated.

Usually whistling is air being sucked in somewhere. Check all the air intake connections/joint/pipes.
