Correct aftermarket alloys? Bit of advice!

Hey all, one of my alloys is damaged and I also need new tyres all round so looking at these for my 13 estate t-spirt.

http://m.wheelbasealloys.com/alloy-wheels/wolfrace/kodiak/graphite/17-inch/215-55-17/economy/performance/various/1986

Is there or could there be any issues for me moving to these alloys? The size and tyre size are the same as factory spec, 17" running 215/55/17.

The WS states they will fit my car and the tyres are the same so would there be any isuuse with running theses?

thanks in advance!

You don't know what/how good tyres  you are getting. It doesn't state what ET the alloys you get will be & they are slightly wider than the standard 17" alloy (7.5" v 7" iirc). You will probably need to buy a new set of locking nuts (Toyota oem alloys have a flat seat, Wolfrace iirc are conical),

Your insurer may vary your premium as they are a modification.

Depending upon how badly damaged your alloy is it may be cheaper to repair/refinish or buy a s/h Toyota alloy.

Thanks, what's the ET? Would the .5 wider mean the 215 tyre would be slightly stretched compared to the OEM alloys

ET is the offset.

215 should be fine on a 7.5J, 17" wheel

Thanks for that, if I move to 18" what would be the correct size, comfort, width, fill the arches etc? The next size up is 225/45/18 as opposed to 215/5517

Already answered these - see post above

The oem 18" wheel options are 18", 7.5J, ET45. Handling will improve slightly but comfort will suffer & there is a higher likelihood of tyre damage. Again, at least in the UK, you should inform your insurer.

Thanks again, had a BMW on 45s before and they broke my heart so 17" it is so! On the 45s every few weeks it was a  puncture, chipped alloy or bulged tyre!

No, they are not mine & I have no knowledge of the seller.

What do you mean by 131 Avensis?

Sorry, here in Ireland the year for car regs is split in two, i.e. 131 and 132, my Avensis is a 2013.

Anyway unfortunately the guy won't ship to outside the UK, I'm international to him, Ireland,

I guess no on here would Oblige me and ship them on to themselves and then on to me!
