mr2 rev3 smoke from exhaust

Hi guys, I'm new here and new to owning a Toyota too. Got a rev3 mk2 mr2 recently and I'm after some advice. I have placed this in general discussion because it is regarding a 3sge engine so some celica owners might be able to shed some light on this too.

I test drove the car before I bought it for a fairly long time and it was fine i.e no smoke when revving high going up a hill or when standing but now when I start the car the exhaust is smokey. I can't see any Mayo or sludge on the oil cap, rad cap or coolant tube. The car is not losing any fluids although I havnt had the car long enough to notice any minor fluid losses.

The exhaust smoke is present even after the engine is fully warmed up but still smells like you just started the car on a very cold morning. The smoke gets more intense when revving the engine.

The weird thing is sometimes the car does this and sometimes it doesn't. This is what the smoke looks like:

Does this seem like an issue?

thank you for any advice.
