hello, new to forum today, been looking all over for any engine swaps/mods for the auris 2014 diesel, i know there is only the 1.4d4d engine available when buying the vehicle but i would like to know if a 2AD-FHV would actually fit in my vehicle along with the obvious changes of ECU's and all other components involved. Would be costly but then again there wouldbt be many on the road would there!

Thankyou in advance.

Anything could fit given enough money and effort ...

For the effort you could just transplant the V6 in there

I was thinkubg diesel for the fuel side if things, saves getting another tank for one. Plus can get more mpg on a diesel, wish they had put a higher HP diesel for the Auris. 14 plate that is

As the second generation Auris is a reworked first generation, and carried forward the same Type Approval, it may well be possible. Presumably you will be upgrading the brakes, etc.

I would be inclined to check the likely insurance costs of the modification(s) beforehand.

You could fit the V6 out of the blade or the supercharged unit ... It could be done ... You would need an entire front end and wring loom and dash ... It's a lot of work for a 180bhp diesel tbh ...

The 2AD engine was never particularly economical - see the Honest John Real mpg info for the first generation http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/realmpg/toyota/auris-2007

Aaah ok, so what is? Or is it just worth going petrol? Or maybe a newer more economical engine thats not stupidly slow like my current engine.
