Interior Boot Trim Removal

Hi. I have a 2003 Mk2 Avensis. I recently had the bumper "fall" off due to not being fitted properly by a former owner.

I have a replacement bumper and reinforcing bar (previously not fitted), but am having trouble getting the interior boot trim off to get access to the fittings for the new bumper. I don't want to cause more damage while trying to fit the bumper so does anyone have any tips for removing the trim? Any diagrams would be appreciated too or a link to them.

Thanks in advance.

Never mind, I got the trim off. The cargo hooks had a 10mm bolt holding them on. I just need to find something to reach the four (insanely long) bumper bolts. I wish designers would realise that actual human beings need to get at stuff now and again, our trains are the same at work.

I am a biff when it comes to working on my cars, in case anyone was wondering. I've worked on planes, helicopters and trains but when it comes to cars? Brain switches into panic mode. Garages love me lol.

Hi glad you sorted your bumper issue , I don't think your alone car designers need to realise cars need to be worked on by us mere mortals .

Long 10 socket is what I use to get the bolts of and flat head for clips underneath. Glad your sorting it out
