Dash Board & Headunit

Finally got a cd player for the yaris :D , looked up the forum on how to install it, took ma dash apart, realised that my cd player has one load of wires and the yaris has left me with three bundles from the original tape player, I believe i need to buy a PC2_17_4 adaptor, correct?, which i dont have at the moment.

So it was cool, i just wanted to have a look see, then i put ma dash back together, get to the last screw on the buttom dash part which goes at the bottom behind where the little side out money thing was, (next to cigirette lighter) then it falls out of the drilled hole, I look inside to realise theres a little hole which toyota cut out for some reason, which i honestly can not thing off  and the screw has fallen down it  , what are the chances.

Had to take the dash apart again and stick ma hand in down the hole in the dash and search for it, had it for a sec then lost it.

I need to take off the button plastic thing which is under the cigerette lighter on the floor. The piece which is in between the front two foot wells, infront of the gear box. I think you know what i mean, it curves round. Anyway, i need to take that off but aint sure how, i would try and yank it off but after trying that with other parts of the yaris which bad results, i thought i should ask first.

I know its one screw but i worry that it might get contact with some electics etc and realised there is some electrics down there with a see thru plastic cover which i guess is to keep **** out for a reason.

So hope you can help,

Cheers,

It shouldn't cause any probs as all the electrics are insulated and all the connectors are the same and should have no bare metal exposed. You may get an annoying rattle while your driving tho if it's in space where it can move around against the body.

I dropped one from the sah tray hole, I think it went down into the bodywork underneath or something?

It has probably gone on the gorund I guess as I dont notice any rattle..

I did this too, major design flaw sticking a gaping hole right next to a screw hole. Very un-toyota. Never heard any rattle so i'm happy leaving it where it is.

all my screws r in place but i have dropped the screw down that hole many a time, bloddy thing, to take the cur peice of plastic off is very simple, simple on the pasanger side pull from the back of plastic, making sure u dont lose the black push in screw holdin in place and the rest simply yanks off, very simple and easy 2 do, nice lil storage space behind there ive put my max power box down there hidden out the way
