Rav 4 D4D 2003 wont start when hot

Hi my 2003 rav 4 d4d refuses to start when hot. During the last 12 mths the problem has got worse. a new turbo was fitted but not in an attempt to cure the hot start problem, a new starter and Battery have recently been fitted and it has been serviced inc air and fuel filters. Once up to normal running temp and normally up hill the engine management light (yellow) comes on, the performance remains but it does sometimes go into limp mode. I stop the engine and wait 2/3 mins, sometimes it starts most times now it doesn't until the temp has significantly reduced. 10/15 mins. The scv have been removed and cleaned it made no difference. Im not sure if they were checked. There are no fault codes showing. Driving after the re start the car drives as normal and pulls well until the engine light comes on again.

Another problem the speedo has stopped working although not sure if this is a connected problem.  The car wasnt used for a couple of months. I have removed the gearbox sensor connector and cleaned it but no luck. I can live temp without a speedo but the non start prob when hot is a real pain. Any suggestions.

Thanks.

The car is not roadworthy if the speedo is non-functional.

If the EML lights, my understanding is that the ECU should have at least one fault code stored.  Perhaps there is a defect in the ECU?  It will not be cheap, but I would be tempted to have it checked by a specialist.
