Hello! 

Hi all my name is Pandasuit. I have just joined this club even though this is my third Toyota. I currently own a Yaris t sport. I've always liked these cars and I'm very much enjoying owning it. 

Previous to this I have owned a mkiii mr2 facelift and a pre face lift 7th gen celica. Both of which had the 1zz 140. 

Just wondering is this the main place for Yaris chat? Also my car has a fairly sketchy history....some services here n there. It's at 48000 miles. What should I be servicing?

Great cars and very reliable if looked after.

I would assume nothing and check everything.

 

Change oil , air and pollen filters. 

Change engine and gearbox oil.

Change brake fluid.

Check state of front pads and disks  . Rear drum and linings "should" be OK at that mileage.. But check for safety.

Then inspect front anti roll bar drop link bushes.. these are a major weakness.

Check all brake hoses and brake lines.

Check around petrol filler pipes at rear wing and remove mud..

Lubricate all hinges lightly with lithium grease.

 

A Haynes manual is invaluable.
