Avensis D4D 2.2 estate front bottom ball joints

Hi, I'm really hoping someone can help as I don't know where to turn to next.

I have a 2007 2.2 D4D estate that I use as a private hire taxi. Play was detected in the front lower ball joints. I ordered new ones online and attempted to replace them a few days ago. I took one of the old ones off and noticed that the tapered pin in the new ball joint was slightly thinner. I tried fitting it but the ball joint pin was too loose in the stub axle. Thinking I had been sent the wrong parts I went to my local motor factors but they came up with the same wrong fitting ball joints as well . Since then I have tried several other motor factors but they all keep saying there is only the one type for my model and they don't know why the pins in my old ball joints are larger. This morning I phoned my local Toyota dealer (about 10 miles away) and explained my problem and they told me there is only one type fitted to my model as well.  Also, they need to be specially ordered and will take a few days to come but they couldn't guarantee the ones they order will be the right ones. Has anyone else had this problem as everyone seems to be scratching their heads (including me). I really need my car back on the road as it is my living. Any advice would be most gratefull. PS  I have attached a photo of my old ball joints next to one of the new ones I have been supplied with.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can shed light with my problem

Roy
