Adding an mp3 player to a 2004 Corolla

I just bought a second hand Corolla from 2004. I love everything about it. It only has one single flaw. No way to play mp3s. It's a pre-ipod car, with only an old CD changer.

Anyone have any tips on how to add this functionality? What addons/replacements should I make? If possible, at all?

Not something I have done, but its been mentioned quiet a few times in this forum, so if you search on MP3 or AUX Input etc you should find some help.

The alternative is to fit a new head / radio unit in place of the existing assembly, but you will loose the mpg function on the  radio  unit, though its never that accurate, rarely use it myself.

As you can see from these links you have to fit a new radio into a new housing which gives you a little extra  shelf.

You can also get double din radios to fill the space better.

There is a catch , partic on the double dins in geting a surround to match, colour wise.

You also need some wiring adapters, avaiable from the same place.
