Newbie Wanting To Improve His Corolla

I'm a newbie with cars and im just learning about engines so i know the basics. I've never installed engine parts but i learn quick. I have a Tan 95' corolla dx (im about ready to paint over it) and i wanted to learn about hooking it up. Im gonna put the ED type drifter body kit, 18 inch hyper black kyalami rims and the tires i haven't decided. ( ill post a link that shows all the tires that i could put on my corolla and some opinions would be appreciated.) I wanted some enlightement on the inside and boosting its performance alot. oh sorry i forgot to post the link for the tires. I wanted to know if the first one would be good for racing and maybe good for drifting if i go down that road in the near future.

if you want to go the conversion route then tese are the top 2

4A-GZE 160+bhp

3S-GTE 200-250+bhp depnding on year

other than that it depends on which engine you have got
