Hi,

Am about to do an Antifreeze 100k miles change and am replacing the thermostat, though not gone, think its starting to take a bit too long to get fully hot.

Also thought I would see how much a  decent water pump would be as it also might have been worth replacing at the same time.

While Toyotas price is £93 there are a lot out there much cheaper, and many of the ones at about £35 -£50 say they fit 2002 -2006 models;  but when you see BluePrints they say there are two different ones, one for pre 2005 , one for post 2005 with prices £46 and  £78 respectively.

So whats the difference ??

Searched the forum and there is one old comment from NRZbunny about some of  the fitting bolts being a shorter length and its noticable in Blueprints pictures that they show the pump with two bolts, are they charging £32 for two bolts  or is there a major difference.

Wonder why all the other after market ones apart from Toyota and Blueprint say theirs will fit  both pre and post 2005 ?

That's strange over this water pump. £32 for Bolts? Sometimes genuine parts even though they are more expensive it's cheaper labour wise to fit. Most are a straight swap!
