Crashed My Gt4

Hi there all, pleased to say i'm not paralized and not hurt too bad although i have fractured my spine which does hurt.

I'm a police officer and a few weeks ago i had to have a word with an idiot cos of his driving attitude, well the same f-in idiot was tail gating me today and he got a bit too close to me so i had to put my foot down, i left him standing for a while and just when i thought he had gone i was driving at about 10-20 mph in a built up area of traffic and pedestrians when that ugly idiot drove into the back of my car.

It took quite a knock but there was hardly any damage done to both cars, i couldn't get out of my car as my neck was hurting, i was later told by a friend and a cop there is no damage visable to the vehicles, well when i got home from hospital, my brother drove my car home and i've noiticed a few minor scratches.

At hospital they took x rays and noticed my lower spine has a fracture, they said to me i was lucky that i havent lost the use of my legs or arms, if it would have been so my whole life would have been destroyed.

The good part is i'm going to get the ugly idiot done for danegerous and inconsiderate driving, and his only defence would be he wasn't aware or he didn't see, so that means hes also going to get done for driving without due care and attention, he was way to close to my car which caused danger and was very inconsiderate of him, i have found out hes had his licence for less than 2 years and already has 3 points, this means hes going to get banned and this guy fool has served time as well, i'm hoping for this guy to be sent down again due to the nature of the accident he has committed 2 driving offences and caused a personnel injury accident.

I'm pis offed with the fact he did this intentially which i can't prove, i've got a fractured spine, but the worst part is he could have caused myself or him self to hit the kidz on the side of the road as well, I've attened accident scenes where some of my collegues have left the job due to the seriousness of the accident, this could have been a repeat.

I really enjoy going to work but now i can't.

At the end of the day no one was seriously injured exept for me, it should have been the other way round, we dont need people like that on the streets who cause danger to others around them.

I'm very f :censor: d off with this d :censor: k head.

the doc said it should hurt alot more later,

i'm ***** big time, spoke to my seargent he couldn't say much except you wont be at work for a while, but he gave me some advise on how to take the mother f :censor: r to court,

i know i'm a cop and the language may seem a little strong but i'm 21 and human, i'm entitled to be angry. some of my mates want to beat the d :censor: k head up but thats not the way to sort these people out, thats why the laws there for. i hope he gets hurt big time or gets screwed big time.

Hope you get better and fully recover dude.

And glad that you're getting the idiot 'done'.

One question though, as you're a copper...

Why are there so many inconsistencies in driving law?

For example, my brother-in-law was rear-ended. The such an incredibly beautiful persont that ran into the back of him then drove off at high speed leaving the scene of the accident. So we have driving without due care and attention AND leaving the scene of the accident - very serious you may think. Well, the police tracked him down (not difficult as my brother-in-law got noted his reg plate) and the punishment? Sweet FA, let off with a caution.

Is it because the police couldn't care less unless someone is injured?

to be honest i dont know, it might be difficult to prove he was driving, his defence would be he was in shock and did'nt know wat to do, and if he had a good record than that would help him, sorry, but remember wat goes around comes around so hopefully he'll also get screwed

sorry to hear about your spine m8 that's really bad - it'll make you realise the value of health though... that's about the only positive to come out of it - but i believe you should always try and take a positive from every situation!

I know it'll need plenty of rest, but try see some doctors/ chiropracters/oesteopaths and get some expert advice on how you can speed the recovery...

I know that hydro therapy is very gentle for injuries like this and can aid recovery enormously!

Keep thinking positive as well m8y, keep the vision of going back to work in your head and you'll heal alot quicker :)

i havent got any thing better to do except mess about on the computer,

i,ve always valued life especially when i became a police officer, one of the 1st major things i dealt with was an asian woman who had mental heath difficulties jumping off the hayes bypass brige, i was the 3rd person on scene, the 1st cop just froze in shock and the 2nd female officer held her head and said to me i dont know wat to do as her injuries were to great for us to deal with, i built a rappor with her and she said to me dont let me die, we thought she was going to die, but she is now paralized and i was really gutted, that does hurt, i could reall feel for the pain she was in, it made my eyes water and i was nearlly sick on the helicopter paramedics. i value life but some take it for granted, dats why im !Removed! cos i know i may have long term problems now.

Hey Fizz

Hope your goin to go for a big personal injury claim (Hopefully the B*****d was insured) Then if he bothers to get insurance again they`ll hit him in his pocket. Losing money affects these scumbags more than losing their liberty.

Mend soon buddy.

The other driver in my brother-in-laws accident never disputed being the driver.

As for his good record - he'd only passed his test a few weeks previously (the little sh!te has probably been driving other peoples cars since he was 14 I'd bet!).

Anyway, keep us posted on how your treatment goes.
