i personally like to try something different, rather than get the usuall typical 'gift' ideas. depends on how much you want to spend, but how about something like a hot air balloon flight, where u get champagne, a photo taken at the end, and its nice to spend the time with them for their 18th birthday. somethign truely unforgettable :) prices start from around £150 which isnt bad at all... but depends how generous you are with your money. i tend to buy extravagent things :P

if you dont wanna spend that much, how about somethign like concert tickets for you both to her favorite group. tell u wot i did see. i thought was a lovely idea. theres a website who will delivery a helium balloon inside of a special customised box, whcih when u open it, the baloon pops out with your own message on. very nice, and shows a little bit of thought has gone into it! just be different, it shows you have a bit more imagination than buying perfume, jewelery, etc.!
