strange noise.......

Hi everyone     I have recently had a strange noise after start up ...it is a short duration sound ,like something energising...it sometimes happens during driving ,  Sorry its so vague I am going to have to wait until I gets worse before I present it to the dealer ....I should add it happens before engine start ,with the ignition just switched on. Could it be an electrical component getting power ? [  2012 Avensis tourer 1.8 petrol 17.000 miles ]     MANY THANKS.

It'll 've the vacuum pump, nothing to worry about

Sound could be the motors in the ventilation system moving into the correct position for the temperature set. If you sit in the car after switching off, you may hear that noise. We are talking about a whirring sound from behind the dashboard? 

Very low mileage.
