Yaris hybrid rattle

Hi Folks,

Our 2013 Yaris hybrid has developed a rattle, it sounds like it is at the back of the car. When picking up speed from a stop, It seems to be regardless of ICE or EV.

It's a metallic sound and once you are up to normal driving speeds, I can't hear it.

Has anyone else had this?

When the car goes in to MR T, for a service I'll mention it. I dare say they drive a bit more sporty, they won't hear it.

Check the heat shield between the exhaust and the fuel tank, a tab can break and the shield can drop onto the exhaust making a noise

Thanks for that.

I bear that in mind, if its still there after the service gets done.

Mine has rattles all over the front quarter at the moment - I found this last year, too. No source or location identified - it just rattles!!

My one started doing the same, and it seems to happen when I accelerate. It comes from the back and it feels like a piece of metal is slightly touching another. (sounds like a small bell)

Drives me mad!
