Tinting Help...

Hey everyone..

i was going to tint my back windows like the picture attached..

(almost 100% black-back only) when i got to the shop and the man there told me i can tint the whole car in a 50% one, and its still legal..

i really wanted to do it, but i think the back ones really need a totally black tint..

because of the "black frame" u got there..

what do u think? tint the whole car 50% or just the back ones 100% ?

In my opinion, keep all the windows the same shade whatever that may be.

It may look like a bread van with blacked out windows at the back and lighter ones at the front.

id find out what % is legal for both side windows on the yaris, get all 4 side windows in that % and then tint the rear widnows limo black. that always looks good. providing its legal in your country.

when i get mine done, i'll have the limo black rear windows and all 4 side windows at 35% (light smoke)

As far as I have discovered. Recently the law has changed. This entails the following:

35% is the legal limit.

No tinting on the windscreen.

No tinting on the front windows (passenger and driver side)

That means 35% back 2 windows. 35% back window.

Imports are allowed more if they came with them.

Many places sell limo tints (5%) and the so forth, but none are for road use. Only 35% light smoke is for road use. And vans are allowed mirror tints. No cars are allowed these.

Thats my 5p :)

I am not a great fan of tiniting, i think that it gives the car too much of a roooood boy look but thats just me, sorry. As for the law, Crisis is right. If i was titning th windows, i would keep them all the same shade

Thx Chyownster for agreeing. I was 95% sure I was correct, glad to know someone else also knows.

Tinting is also more safety related as well. Glass is more shatter proof, interior colour doesn't fade, keeps heat out and other features.
