My wife has just bought a 2014Aygo Move with Style 5dr 1.0 VVT-i Man.  It has the type a hi-fi system with the tomtom satnav.  Would there be a compatibility problem with swapping it out with a type b (bluetooth) unit ?

Thanks in anticipation.

Yes there is a compatibility issue as the kits for the Tom Tom installation are different for Type A ( base audio ) and type B ( high audio ) just out of interest why would you want the type B head unit?

you can use the bluetooth on the tom tom for your phone i am sure my partner used to use it for her phone

Yes I had a move with style before and there was bluetooth on the Tom Tom unit.

Thanks for the advice. The car came without the tomtom head unit. Could anyone recommend anywhere to pick one up? As Toyota want £400.00 for one

£400? I was charged half the price when I had to replace mine. You may find a unit on eBay for cheaper price.

you will need the plastic surround aswell they will probably sell the surround complete with head unit

the tomtom just plugs into the back of the head unit so its easy to set up

I know this is an old thread, but Ive got a similar issue.
Ive bought a 2014 1.0 VVT-i Move with Style today.

The ad said bluetooth and DAB (although further into the ad it also says DAB Preparation?)
The car appealed to me for the above reasons, but it too has a type A head unit so in actual fact the only bluetooth connectivity is through the satnav, and then its only for calls (I wanted it to play music).

Another issue is the 'mode' and 'screen' buttons on the satnav mount dont do anything at all.

Am I missing something (before I get onto the dealer tomorrow)?

TIA

off top of my head with my previous Move with Style Aygo (over two years ago since I've had one so bear with me) but I seem to remember having to change the audio source on the radio so that the sat nav mount would work.

Thanks for that.

I have messed around with it quite a lot but the buttons on the mount still dont do anything.

(The other issues were resolved to an extent by the way)
