Repaired coolant leak on Mk1 Avensis, part numbers listed FYI

Hi all,

Recently, May 2017, I discovered my mk1 1.8 Avensis had a low coolant level when doing a regular fluids and level check.

Topped up and checked daily. Found I was very slowly loosing coolant. Nothing immediately stood out but there was a small amount of coolant on the gearbox and down that side of the block. Ran the engine and looked under bonnet. A very small but regular drip was coming from the outlet that the top hose connects to on the block. Bingo.

Not the most obvious place but easy to see.

Used Toyo diy for part numbers and ordered from Toyota. Treated myself to a new top hose as it was going to be removed and refitted

Part numbers should anyone find them useful.

16331-02050 outlet

91511-B0816 bolts

16571-16210 top hose

Spread all my stuff all over the garage floor and took my time.

Well done Matthew. A good fix. Such a nice car to maintain. The only negative with the car is the VED due to the age of the car. I hope my current Avensis matches my old one.
