Toyota avensis estate - suspension corrosion

Hi, I'm posting as I have put my car through a mot which it has passed.

the garage gave as additional information rear suspension components heavily corroded and looking underneath this would seem so.

The car is about 10 years old . Just wondering whither to repair now (£400 was mentioned  as garage had quoted for similar job on a older car which owner then scrapped car. It has been reliable . Expecting the next mot/service to be at least £500.

I know people which have done big mileages without major issues. Car is about 85000 miles. Do you think the car is still worth keeping or is corrosion likely to become a costly business's.

Cheers

I think perhaps you need to be more specific as to the exact location of the corrosion,

I think he was referring to suspension arms but could be more. Would not like to think the car would become a money pit.

Anybody know of non genuine rear wishbones for Avensis 03 to 09? Toyota part, if you had to do both sides, more than the car worth. Seems to be a major problem after 10 years or so. Too soon!
