Knackered....

Was awake at 6:45 am this morning as couldnt sleep so set off to my folks early before heading down to pompey, British Rail decided that every train I needed was to be delayed through engineering works and there was more to come....

Finally met up with Jenny and had a coffee before seeing the new celica which is in need of some tlc for th bodywork although the engine is superb (well almost !!)....

Found my way out of pompey easy as pie, headed off the A3 and woosh, a massive cloud of white smoke (and I mean massive) and an engine overheating, pulled to the side of the road and found the heater pipe had a massive split sumping all the water from the engine onto the exhaust manifold !! Little while later ( 2 hours) nice Mr RAC man came out and replaced the hose and again on the way, car drives beautifully for her age, not surprising with an average of 5.1k per year over the last 25 years :D

Anyway finally got to my folks in Odiham, now just need to get back to Cardiff....

Here's the photo's....

now just need to figure out exactly its going to cost to sort the body out as its in a state, gave it a better going ovr once I posted on toc lol, oh also managed to snap the handbrake cable while parking it on a slopey bit of the drive :(

the engine itself is superb, cruised on the duel carriage way at 75 so taking it easy and no hard acceleration and it wasnt to bad on the twisties once you learned you could trust the very soft 70's suspension, that might have to be stiffened a little bit, overall a great car and different...

Hoping to get a 2 as well, but until I have the pair this one, once fixed will get me back in the Toyota seat, Jenny I don't know if your reading the forum but Thank you very, very much...
