LED running lights and folding mirrors

Hi, just collected my 2016 Toyota Avensis Business Edition Plus. The LED daytime running lights are not on when I start the car? Is there a way of turning them on and off, I want them on? Also, the mirrors fold when I press the fold button, is there a way this will happen automatically when locking the car? Thanks Iain

Shouting removed.

As regards the daytime running lights, they may illuminate when the handbrake releases.

afaik not as standard.

It is possible to purchase a module from China for ~£20 though but fitting that may affect your warranty.

That module only works if your car was originally fitted with folding mirrors

Obviously the module can't control/power non-existent motors ... you would need to fit power-folding mirrors if your car doesn't have them.

The op's car will have powered folding mirrors. Does a 2012 TR not (my 2007 TR did)?

No, I can live without it & my car is still within warranty. There have been a few fitted on other cars in TOC though - that's how I knew the module existed & was able to track it down.

I would think that it is easy enough for a competent auto electrician if (like me) you could not do it yourself.
