Hi guys new to the forum and need some help,

my water pump recently failed on my 2007 corolla verso 1.8vvti. I sourced new pump and belt from local car parts shop, when refitting noticed the body is too thick on the water pump where the short bolts go, I tried seeing if I perhaps took them out in different order but I hadn't as they lined up perfect with old pump, anyone experienced this or know if perhaps they have changed design ect just need it on the road asap as daughter is due to have her baby in the next week and need the car thanks in advance

Hi,

Was looking at replacement for my 2006 1.6 rolla, and seems it had a different thinner pump as from 2005 , so it needs shorter bolts.

Most aftermaket places do not show these changes, but the site  below does , but only the  Blueprint parts.

I posted a question here to see if there was any other differences between the two type of pump, other than the body thickness, eg I could use the cheaper 2005 type and just cut the bolts- but no reply.

Yourt Toyota dealer will of course have the right part ....

Edit - looking up your Verso on that site, seems you have the same pump as mine, so you probably had the later thinner type but have been supplied with the older thicker type needing longer bolts, but again do not know if there are any other relevant differences ?
