Toyota Starlet

Hi all,nice 2 finally find a Toyota Site B) I have a 91 starlet(GI) which has a 4e-fe engine.Looking 2 get more torque from the engine,was thinking of changing the pistons 2 the 3e pistons(which r 1500 pistons) & doing some work on the head,what do u guys think????Any advice how 2 get this car really running is really appreciated,thanks alot

alright buddy dont know a great deal bout changing the pistons etc but first start with induction and exhaust, next get the head gas flowed(ported and polished) to ensure a smooth flow of air in and exhaust out,this will help alot!

Then get it chipped once the work is all dont to set it up right and it will run at its best!

ur sayin about pistons. dont bother wif them just swap ur engine wif the 5e-fe engine out of a paseo! same block everything is nearly identical. nothin major!!!!!

i think its the engine the starlet should have came with!!!!!

or the 5E-FHE Sera engine which has more HP and torque still.

or the 4E-FTE Starlet Turbo engine...
