1982 Celica With Rough Idle

I'm new to the board! Want to say hello to everyone!!

I got a 1982 celica off of a friend of mine. He's had it for 4 years or so and it always had a rough idle, almost like a cough. Idle up and down. He ran it like that for probably the last 2 years. When your into the gas it clears up. Sometimes it's worse then others. He blew the motor and sold it to me for cheap. I bought another car with a good motor to swap out the engine. The motor ran great in the car i got, idled fine, ran great. Body is shot. I swapped the engine out and into the one with the blowed up motor and it's now doing the same thing. I swapped everything, just finished up swapping the exhaust and still doing the same thing. Put a new O2 censor in it and the same thing. Anyone have any ideas on what could be wrong...the motor ran great in the other car.....any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Did you also swap the ECU from your donor car?. Maybe the ECU is faulty.
