The 1st Step...

Well, I've made a decision, nothing will be done to the stock engine. The 1st project for the corona will be new engine, now I enlist the brilliant minds involved in this forum to help me decide what to put in it? SO I ask for your suggestions, please help with some ides for a the powertrain as a whole and a good (<--understated) suspension.

I have done a little checking around and found that the 18RG engine fits nicely into the corona...anyone have any specs or comments on the motor? Also some people have done AE86 LSD conversions...anyone have any specs or comments on this?

18rg is a difficult motor to get hold of but its meant to be strong and give about 140hp standard.

Do what i did and try to find a rusted out Celica and use it as the donor for the engine gearbox and rear axle. Much easier that way.

As for the engine, its great makes the car pretty quick and over 4k rpm sounds great with those twin carbs.

Can you give me somes specs on the celica engine? HP? torque? Fuel consumption? And does anyone have a suggestion for my suspension? Is it going to be hard to find An Ae86 LSD or should I be looking for something else entirely?
