Hi folks I'm looking to remove the plastic cover which runs up side the windscreen on my 2011 avensis tr as I'm looking to hard wire my dash cam and parking sensors in and do not want to break any clips as I run wires up to interior light

Thanks in advance

I fitted a Next Base and previously a cheap TopTech, using long power lead that came in the kit. I did not pull the trim off the pillar, but fed the cable by using the plastic trim tools. I also use cable access tool to aid feeding the cable under the dashboard.

I did a bit of search to find out how the car pillar panel is held in place and found in ToyoDIY and megazip. Here is a link from megazip:-

The lower trim clip (pt no. 90467-W0005) standard part -

I have read that a bit of force is needed to release the trim. That's why I just tucked the cable into the panel!

I like the Next Base setup, with the quick release and power cable that can be plugged/unplugged at will. I did not want to interfere with the cars wiring, plus if I have the change to a different dash-cam, it can be done quickly without any damage.
