Turbo removal?

Hey All...

Driving my 2007 2.0 D4D home last night I went to overtake a slow driver and suddenly lost power... and became the slowest driver on the road!

Stopped pulled over, restarted engine etc and there's no engine warning lights. Car still drives but a severe lack of power.

Today I did some checks and noticed the pipe from air filter box to turbo was loose at the turbo end. Removed the pipe and saw a piece of rubber stuck in the turbo indeed... looked like a piece of rubber that was used to make the air pipe fit the turbo worked loose and got sucked in.

Pulled the loose piece out and had a good feel round. I can feel another piece in there well and truly lodged. Damn...

so it looks like I need to remove the turbo, which seems a Pig of a job!

Any advice or tips to help?

Im reasonably able to do some mechanical work but no access to ramps or removing engine!

Plus... hope the turbo isn't damaged... 😕

Thanks for any advice.
