Painting The Yaris Drums

hey, i was wondering. im going to paint the drums of my car blue. was wondering if I would need to put on a primer underneath or would it be ok to just paint them

just give em a good scrub with a wire brush or some steel wool thats about all it needs

use hammerite or similar not just dulux paint. :lol:

Halfrauds do special paint. I was thinking of painting mine black just to tidy them up.

I was going to do the front callipers too - does anyone know any obvious mistakes I might make?

Allowing ******* like dust, fly's etc land on them whilst drying, painting the discs! oops, leaving ur wheels off and letting sum1 steal them! :thumbsup:

leaving your wheels off a trying to drive away...............:wacko:

sorry

just dont let it get into the pad retention springs or all over the disc etc. just take your time

Maybe if it's nice at the weekend I'll do them. I think just black - I had considered yellow to make it look loke a Lambo Gallardo, but now I think that that would just look a bit stupid... :unsure:

No probs, and with yellow, it'd get dirty in seconds with brake dust etc, stay clear of yellow :thumbsup:

i just finished painting the drums, im only doing the back one's looks class.used some marine paint (boat paint) heavy duty paint, used on boats and they get hit with all kinds of weather and salt air so its real hevy duty. really like it :-D must post some photos when i get a chance
