Big Vibrations

For some reason when I put my foot to the floor at 80mph the steering wheel and dash vibrate like mad. If I take my foot off the gas it stops.

I had the tracking done a couple of weeks ago but that didn't cure it.

If it's the wheel balancing then surely it would still do it even if I took my foot off the gas, wouldn't it?? :help:

Any suggestions guy's???

Cheers

Jake

hey, another vibrating corolla.Could be many things,

Knackered tire wall

Balance

Buckled wheel

Bearings

Pressure difference in opposing tires/incorrect pressure

Knackered shocks

Driveshaft problem

CV joint problem

many other possibilities

That said, I had mine in Mr T's at the weekend and they cant find the cause of my vibration, bizarre to as it comes and goes.

Hope this helps and you get it sorted

Cheers for the suggestions

New tyres 1 month ago.

Wheel's aren't buckled.

Bearing tend to make a droning noise don't they?

Pressures perfect on all corners.

New springs last summer, although the shox were second hand. (MOT)

Two new CV joints last summer too.(MOT)

Puzzling!!!! :ffs:

Will try the cheapest first I think. Wheel balance!!

I kinda assumed that the balancing would be okay as I only had the new tyres and balancing done just over a month ago. I didn't ask the mechanic whether one of the weights had fallen off but one must of!!

Still my trcking was miles out as well but had that done last weekend and didn't solve it so went for the balancing second!

Will check the balancing first if it happens again!

if not that case...

maybe this also can be a problem....

1) Engine/Gearbox mounting broken.

2) Driveshaft problem..
